CLERICAL/OFFICE POSITIONS
Typical Duties
  • Greeting and Assisting Clients
  • Sorts, files and maintains alphabetical, numerical, and subject filing systems
  • Answer Phone
  • Types forms, memoranda, and other copy material.
  • Gathers specified information and compiles routine reports.
  • May enter data into computer system.
  • Performs related job duties as required. Assist with daily clerical operations in an office setting

                                
FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMS
Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for 3 months
At-Risk After School Food Program for 7 months
Serve nutritional meals to disadvantaged children
Performs a variety of noncomplex, general clerical, typing, and/or office support duties.
                              
Typical Duties
  • Good communication skills
  • Well-organized and ability to follow-through
  • Ability to engage kids of all age group
  • Sense of humor and fun personality
  • Distribute meals
  • Maintaining proper meal temperatures
  • Serving meals to children 18 and under only
  • Maintaining a clean site before and after meal service
  • Volunteer: Preferably 3 -­ 5 days every week for the length of the program 
                            
MENTOR PROGRAM
Typical Duties
  • Good communication skills
  • Well-organized and ability to follow-through
  • Ability to engage kids of all age group
  • Sense of humor and fun personality
  •
Minimum of 6 month with 3 to 5 hours of contact per week                    
  • Commitment to developing supportive relationship with program youths involved in                                               homework assistant, training classes, life skills and interpersonal skills.

Good mentor is willing to take the time to get to know their mentee, to learn new things that are important to the young person, and even to be changed by their relationship.
